Chapter 266: A grandmother

"Oh close your mouth, you are abusing the night. Have you forgotten how you bulliedto death because of

Jenny? You dare call yourself my grandmother, have you asked if | agree to your nonsense. Where was my

grandmother when Jenny and Mike tried to defraud me. | wonder what took them this long to finally get married

after doing all that. Where was this grandmother you are calling your self so proudly, when Jenny collaborated

with people to getdrugged and sold? If there is someone that wants you, and your entire family they can

have you." Hazel scolded her back. "You have really grown wings; You would even talk tolike this?" Old

Madam Greyson fumed, "Cback hthis instant! This matter with the police ends now. You will not shame

the family name!"

"Why not? Do you think you are an empress from ancient times? Who are you to command me? The matter with

the police? Old woman, | know you are old an uneducated, but this is a bit too far. Do you think the police will

stop if you want to? Your precious granddaughter had done this before. Who knew that the police would easily

trace her crimes by just looking?" Hazel said and Marcus glanced her way and looked away.

"She has created a big crring selling young girls for money. She has committed a crime. If you like, throw a

tantrum, you are not the president of the country. If you know what is good for you, lie down and rest. Better yet,

for my sanity, have eternal rest," Hazel chuckled lightly. Her voice danced into Marcus's heart, he was suddenly

itching to touch her. He did not know he liked his women wild and feisty until today. He had always preferred the

quiet, obedient and weak type. Why is this woman pressing all his buttons? "You really wishdead?" Old

Madam Greyson asked as though she could not fathom the idea.

"You just found this out? | have been asking the devil why he has not cto take you for a long time. Even a

disgusting thing like you can live to this age, it is proof that there is no god! If you have said what you need to

say, get off my phone," Hazel sneered. "Fine, you wishdead. But you have cause rumors to spread about

your sister yet you don't want cand fix it?" Old Madam Greyson took a deep breath an asked.

"Rumors? You better go back to making your casket if you are bored, Old woman, do | look like | am bored like

your family? Who has the tto create rumors about that walking red light district? She did something wrong

and got caught but you are calling to me? This grand daughter of yours, she obviously knows that you do not

understand modern technology, yet she actually lied to you."

"Then why are there people saying she climbed into your fiancé's bed while he was dating you?" she asked.

"Is it a lie? | was engaged to Mike, was | not? Besides, you just invitedto her wedding a second ago, | just

threw her dirty laundry on her. It is my fault that her friends spread it?" Hazel asked.

"You better cto that wedding to show that your good will so that people stop spreading nonsense about your

sister!" the old woman insisted.

"You are still thinking of a wedding? Is she going to do it in jail? Wow, Mike is really free thinking," Hazel

commented. Jenny has been arrested and her father is not in the country. There is no way Jenny has been

released so soon, right? Hazel could not wrap her head around this. Why are they still talking about the wedding

as though it is a fact?

"Hurry up and get back here and refute the rumors! What jail? Your father will deal with it!" the old woman

screeched. Hazel was furious even though she finally understood. It seems that this old woman is still banking on

her son getting Jenny out.

"Old witch, have you lost your mind? If people are spreading tales about her, shouldn't | take out sgifts to

thank them for their public service? Maybe even go around and bow a bit, probably donate money to sew a

wedding dress for their children. Why would | cover and help her dispel rumor? If you are done opening your

dirty mouth, go back to that grave you crawled out from and have seternal rest!" she ended the call.

By the tshe finished talking, she was fuming. She had completely forgotten that Marcus was in the car.

She could not seem to control her temper these days and Marcus who was beside her knew he should not

provoke her now. He knew who was on the phone. He wanted to know how she would react when she finds out

he was beside her granddaughter.

"Just because killing is legal, you are still walking around like an old ghost that refuses to die, or else | would

have returned you to your maker," she muttered under her breath.

She was fuming and wanted to break something.

After her outburst on the phone, Marcus looked to her.

"When. You get to work, check your chat," he said.

"Why?" She asked.

"I know you don't like the police, but there are times you need one. For legality of course," he said, "I have sent

you a number. When you need the police, you call that number." Upon hearing his words, she was already sure

she would not use it. But she nodded and looked away.

When Hazel got to the company that day, she forced Marcus to let her out underground where she hurried up,

hoping that no one noticed. But when she got to the floor of the Marketing department, she found that the entire

office was looking at her. They were looking at her quite strangely. Her mind raced wondering if someone had

seen them when she got out of his car. But by the tshe got to her desk, her self-procured town crier, Lucy

Gruiel cto her desk.

"You really are not ashamed to cto the office? If | were you | would find somewhere to hide," Lucy said. She

could not believe that this girl would shoot her own foot even before she could do something.

"If you don't tellwhat I did, how will | know what kind of sh| should be feeling?" Hazel asked and Lucy

sneered.

"You did it and claimed you don't know? Everyone in the office knows what you did this weekend," Lucy declared

and Hazel's heart skipped a beat, but she suppressed her facial expression, making sure to keep it blank.

"What did | do? You are not going to

convictwith out telling me, right? Even the police have to tell you the crimes they are arresting you for. Stop

being vague and hurriedly tel me, | am dying of curiosity," Hazel responded, causing the office that was watching

a show, to calm. If they mentioned this far and she did not react, doesn't that mean that nothing that was said

on the forum was true?

"You tried to steal your brother in law and failed, so you spread rumors about your sister. When your

grandmother went to convince you to stop, you had her arrested by the police. It is all over the forum,

everybody knows this. Your

grandmother was so angry after the maltreatment, she was rushed to the hospital." Lucy revealed. The more she

talked, the more Hazel calmed. For a moment there, she thought that someone had discovered that she was

associating with the mafia. She logged into her computer and went to the company forum to see what was being

said.

She saw the original post that revealed her nand picture and even talked about her dead mother. The post

not only revealed her mother's name, her medical condition and the hospital she had died.
