"I'll be there in ten minutes!" Dolores said loudly before hanging up abruptly.
True to her word, Dolores arrived in less than ten minutes, practically jogging. She was carrying a laptop bag and a stack of papers, clearly out of breath.
"You should have letknow you were coming," Dolores said. "I would have been here sooner." Eileen guided Dolores toward a chair at the end of the hallway.
"Let's talk," she said.
"Okay," Dolores agreed.
As soon as they were seated, Dolores took the initiative to speak. "Do you want to know what I've been up to lately?" she asked.
"Yes, just tell me," Eileen replied.

It's a win-win, right?" Dolores looked at Eileen with a serious expression. "I'm not asking for a new life or a new baby... I'm only having it to protect Emerson. I don't feel anything for it."
