Chapter 166 Chapter 166: Eileen's pained expression brought back sof Bryan's reason. He inhaled deeply several times, then slowed down. His cold, slender lips trailed down from her eyebrow. He eased his grip on her wrist, his fingers softly caressing the faint red mark left behind. Bryan knew Eileen's body too well. Soon, her pained expression faded as the atmosphere in the room becaffectionate.

Eileen felt frustrated by her own surrender. It seemed she couldn't resist him whenever he insisted. Caught up in the heat of the moment, she submitted to the passion he stirred within her. Clenching her teeth, Eileen tried to maintain her clarity until midnight. Once it was over, she intended to rise and leave. But as soon as she attempted to step out of bed, her legs gave out, and she collapsed onto the floor.

Bryan's laughter echoed behind her, turning her cheeks a deep shade of red. She turned around to glare at him. "Why are you laughing?" "I'm laughing because you're trying to play a tough gthat's way out of your league," Bryan retorted. Having nearly satisfied all his desires, Bryan found the idea of her walking out right then almost offensive.

"You..." Eileen pressed her lips together and lowered her head, her hair falling forward to cover the marks on her skin. Seated on the floor, her eyes met Bryan's. Bryan lay on the bed, resting his head on his muscular arm. His robust silhouette under the blanket resembled a perfect sculpture, yet his expression was so irritating that Eileen felt an urge to hit him.

"You didn't trust me, did you?" Eileen's voice carried a hint of grievance. Her words seemed to darken Bryan's expression. Shifting to the edge of the bed, he reached out, pinched her chin, and lifted her face to meet his gaze. "Even if you tried, you wouldn't have the strength," he said, his voice laced with sudden irritation.

In bed, he had felt an undeniable claim over her, which had finally dissolved his anger. It was as if he was addicted and she was his only cure. A flush of red spread across Eileen's face to her neck as she forced a snort, thinking he was overly arrogant. Her voice was raspy; despite her efforts to suppress the moans earlier, they had had sex for too long, leaving her throat dry.

Bryan leaned forward, wrapping an arm around her waist, pulling her onto his chest, and nestling them both under a blanket. "What the hell do you want?" Unable to resist, Eileen pressed her body against his, her voice weak. "The White family will invest in your business, and your project is going well. In the future, I'll continue tutoring Milford. We can't keep doing this." Your update hub: gVl.cöm His hand, rough and wandering, traced patterns on her smooth back, eliciting a slight tremor from her. Finally, his hand stilled on her waist. His eyes lingered on her flushed cheeks. "Why didn't you say it just now?" he asked.

Eileen could maintain her composure as long as they were not having sex. She rolled her eyes at him as her breath brushed across his chest. "The White family didn't agree to invest in my project," Bryan confessed, his voice breaking the silence.

Taken aback, Eileen struggled to raise her gaze from his chest. “Why not? Hasn't the issue with Arthur been sorted out?" "There's a problem with the White family's finances," Bryan explained. "It's serious. Gilbert was concerned I might think he would deceive me, so he asked Denzel to be a mediator to clarify things." Bryan took the pack of cigarettes from the nightstand, selected one, and positioned it expertly between his lips. A flick of his lighter momentarily illuminated his face, casting a glow that made him more attractive. Yet, Eileen was not in the mood to appreciate that. She brushed her fingers through her disheveled hair and posed her concern. "What's your plan then? Half a billion isn't exactly pocket change. Nobody else in Wist Land has that kind of money. And if you bring on multiple investors, you'll dilute the ownership too much. That could jeopardize your whole project." She knew these business intricacies well. After all, they were her expertise, even if she had been out of the gfor a year.

"Are you worried about me?" Bryan's voice was calm, tinged with amusement as smoke danced between his words. He fixed his gaze on her.

Outside, the night was still. The villa was enveloped in silence. There was only the intermittent glow of the cigarette in the shadowy bedroom.

"Isn't this a critical moment? How can you still joke around?" Eileen turned her gaze away. She was not sure if her feelings of concern were for Bryan or the long-cherished project.

Her hair cascaded over her shoulders, subtly revealing her collarbones. The blanket hugged her figure. Noticing that, Bryan's eyes darkened. He believed he just couldn't resist her allure.

He extinguished the cigarette in the ashtray, his voice low. "Don't worry. You can helpwith my business more." With that, he reclined back and gently led her to straddle him. "Continue then," Eileen said.

She hadn't expected him to have any energy left. But it turned out she was wrong. They didn't stop until dawn began to break. Before drifting off, Eileen still harbored concerns that Milford might grow suspicious if he found out she had stayed the night. Bryan's whisper was soft in her ear. "Don't worry. Just go to sleep. I'll handle everything." Eileen fell asleep after that.

When she woke up, it was already bright outside; the midday sun filled the room with light. She reached for her phone on the nightstand and saw it was nearly noon. She hurried out of bed, grabbed sclothes from her suitcase, got dressed quickly, and left the room.

At the dining table, Milford turned and gestured to her. "Ms. Curtis, cand have lunch." After@moment's hesitation, Eileen approached.

e Entering the dining room, her eyes were drawn to the figure still bustling in the kitchen.
