Chapter 167~ Arranged marriage "Sir, your parents are back in the city," Adan Nicholson's assistant, Cheryl James, reported.
"That's good," Adan replied lazily. "Next time, you don't have to report that to me." It was a few weeks after the new year and he had a lot of work to do. He was currently going through snew proposals and didn't want to be bothered.
"Sir, they've reserved a restaurant and have demanded that you meet them for lunch," Cheryl gingerly reported.
Adan frowned, pinching the bridge of his nose. He asked, "Where's Reuben? He's more competent than you. Why didn't you tell them to calland ask if I'm free?" Cheryl clenched her hands into fists. Reuben was Adan's other personal assistant but he was currently on a business trip. She didn't like being compared to him since it could mean she could lose her job. Cheryl never wanted to be far away from Adan since she had a secret crush on him.
"They called you so many times but you didn't answer their calls, sir," Cheryl responded patiently.

"What restaurant?" He asked.
"It's ocean basket, sir," Cheryl replied.
Adan nodded and said, "Ok, I'll be there." Cheryl turned to leave, feeling sad because Adan didn't ask her to accompany him for lunch. He always took several women to meet his parents for lunch, why couldn't he ask her to accompany him? Meanwhile, Adan pinched the bridge of his nose. It wasn't like he didn't like seeing his parents, it's just that he knew what they wanted to talk about.
Now that they heard that Ryan had another set of twins, they were going to put him under pressure to get married.
However, Adan had vowed never to get married in this lifetime. He knew his parents were just wasting their time, that's why he took different models to meet them so that they stop pestering him. However, for sreason, Adan hadn't been spending twith different women lately. All of a sudden, he becbored of such a life which didn't even give him any gratification.
Thus, he spent the last few months working harder than before, trying to occupy his mind and keep himself busy. His phone chimed and he opened it to take a look at it. A smile crossed his lips when he saw a picture of two adorable babies with squishy cheeks.
The message was from Ryan, and it read, [Hi, Uncle Adan, we are waiting for our present.] Adan let out a chuckle. He pressed on the microphone and sent a voice note, saying, "Ryan, are you sure the babies want a gift or it's you who wants a gift for being a father?" Ryan sent back a voice note. "It's both. Don't be stingy and send the gift. I'm waiting." Adan laughed and looked out of the window, looking down at the city below. He had been the CEO of the Nicholson and Son's group for a while now, however even after all this success, he still felt empty. He sighed, sitting back in his swivel chair as he reflected on his life. Was he missing something? He had no idea and he wasn't interested in finding out. Feeling empty was better than being in emotional pain.
Lunch hour cquickly. Adan walked into the restaurant his parents had reserved and went to the VIP lounge. "Mom, Dad, I'm here," Adan said and took a seat.
He was dressed in black pants and a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up to his elbows. His dark brown hair had grown back and he had styled it into a slight quiff.
Jason Nicholson clicked his tongue. He looked at his wife and said, "Look at your son, at thirty-four he's still playing around." "Dad, con. Can't you just greetand chat about something else?" Adan asked, irritation coursing through him. "I'm tired of the stopic." Madison Nicholson smiled and remarked, "We called you here for a different topic, my dear. I'm sure you will be thrilled." Adan arched an eyebrow, noting his mother's mischievous smile. He replied, "I doubt that. What are the two of you up to now?" Madison glanced at her watch excitedly. She said, "They will be here soon. Oh, I'm so excited." "Mom... who are you waiting for?" Adan asked, not liking the feeling of unease that had settled in his stomach. Madison smiled and responded, "Your future wife of course!" "My future... what?" Adan exclaimed. "Mom, I told you-" "That you don't want to get married?" Madison remarked. "Yes, I know. But since you have the energy to chase women around, I think you need a woman to tyou. So, arranged a blind date with my long-tfriend, Evelyn's daughter." "A BLIND DATE?!" Adan exclaimed. He looked at his parents and asked, "With you here?" Madison nodded and replied, "Yes. We don't want you to run away. So, you will have a blind date here in front of us." Adan scoffed and said, "So, it's an arranged marriage? Mom, if I wanted to get married, I would have brought a woman to you." "There's nothing wrong with that. I
didn't marry your father because I loved him. Qur parents arranged the marriage and here we are. We love each other so much, I wouldn't have it any other way," Madison uttered. She leaned forward and requested, "Please, son. Just stay and see if you will like her... she's a Beautiful blonde." When Adan heard that the woman he was meeting was a blonde, his mind shifted to a certain someone who he hadn't seen in a long time.

Adan turned around and saw the amards couple walking towards them. He recognised the man as the CEO of the Jones Group. Madison was quick to introduce Adan. "This is my handsson, Adan Nicholson." Evelyn and Jacob studied Adan. They shared a look and nodded before turning to look at him.
"Hello, Adan, it's so good to finally meet you," Evelyn remarked.
Adan nodded respectfully and replied, "Thank you. I'm happy to meet you too." Madison looked around and asked, "Where's your daughter?"
Evelyn chuckled and said, "Oh please forgive us... my daughter is a bitm special. She's at work. She will be here soon... oh, here she is." All eyes turned to look at the door and Adan's eyes rounded in shock.
He pushed back his chair with a screech, looking at the gorgeous blonde woman who had walked into the room.
"Adan?"
