Chapter 166~ Adorable The doctor had followed the couple in and while she was making preps for the delivery, Lora could already feel the baby's head about to cout of her. Her eyes widened. Why was it so fast? The first tshe gave birth, she had been in labour for two days! She looked at her husband and exclaimed, "The baby is here! Mmm!" Ryan's forehead was coated with beads of sweat. He glanced at the doctor and realised that she would take a few more seconds to reach Lora, so he acted fast.

He stood in front of Lora, unaware of what he should do. Recalling sTV shows that he had watched, he placed his hands near Lora's entrance and just as the clock struck midnight and fireworks exploded in the sky, a little baby dropped on Ryan's hands. The doctor quickly cforward and cut the cord and the baby released a sharp, piercing scream.

Ryan froze, his heart racing as he stared down at the tiny, wriggling little human in his hands. He was staring at the world's most beautiful creature.

"It's... It's a girl," he said, still in shock. However, he held his baby girl carefully as if he was scared that she would break in his arms.

A smile crossed his lips and his heart felt full as he stared at the little bundle of joy that was a product of love. "You can place her on the mother's chest now," the doctor instructed and Ryan did so, his heart racing hard against his ribcage.

He still felt like he was dreaming. He had helped deliver his baby girl with his own hands.

Tears rolled down Lora's cheeks as she held her daughter. She looked at Ryan and remarked, "You did it, honey..." Lora frowned again and said, "I can feel the second one. He's already here too!" The nurses were quick to get the baby from Lora for a clean up whole Ryan stayed put, wanting to deliver his son as well.

Since Ryan wanted to, the doctor let him be and just monitored him while giving Lora instructions.

"Ok, Mrs Kingsley, I want you to push at the count of three...." When he checked for crowning, the doctor instructed, "One, two, three... PUSH!" Lora pushed with all her might and minutes later, Ryan was holding another baby in his hands, a healthy cry echoing through the ward.

Warmth spread through Ryan's heart. He never experienced being there when his first children were born, now that he did, he couldn't help shedding a few tears. Ryan sniffed back his tears as he remarked, "It's a boy." Lora threw her head back, crying in relief as she exclaimed, "Our twins are here, Ryan. Our new year blessings." Ryan placed the baby boy on Lora's chest. He then bent down and kissed Lora's forehead, saying, "I love you so much, Lora. Thank you for giving birth to our children." A little while later, the babies were clean and swaddled. Lora was now allowed to have visitors and the rest of the family didn't hesitate to fill her ward.

"Where are my great-grandkids?" Charles was the first to walk in, asking for the babies.

The nurses brought the kids towards him and Charles smiled from ear to ear. He carried both in his two arms and turned to look at the rest of the family.

"Everyone, meet the newest members of the Kingsley family," Charles announced, his voice laced with extrhappiness.

Ryan arched an eyebrow. He asked, "Grandpa, shouldn't I be the one to do that?" "I'm the oldest in the family, so I deserve to introduce the new Kingsleys." Ella and Ethan rushed forward to see the babies. Charles told them to sit on a couch and placed one child in each of their arms, saying, "These are your siblings, love them, take care of them and protect them." "Wow! They are so pretty!" Ella exclaimed. "Don't worry, Grandpa, Ethan and I are going to take of them." The rest of the family took turns to marvel at the twins, the atmosphere filled with warmth and love. It was the perfect way to start a new year.

Miles glanced at Lora and Ryan, asking, "Have you named them yet?" Lora looked at her husband and said, "You nthem, honey." "Really?" Ryan asked, his heart racing.

Lora nodded, saying, "Yes. You didn't get to nElla and Ethan, this is your one and only chance." Ryan's heart raced. He looked at the newborns and two names cto mind. "I'll nthem Riley and Lucas. Their names will start with the first letters of our names." Lora smiled at her husband and said, "I love those names." Later on, since Lora could only be discharged when the sun cup, the rest of the family returned while Ryan stayed by her side.

Both the babies lay in a crib nearby sleeping peacefully after feeding.

Lora looked at them and remarked, "Aren't they so adorable?" "They are and they take after you," Ryan replied.

He reached for Lora's hand, his voice laced with love as he said, "Lora, thank you for coming back into my life: This is everything that I've ever dreamed of and so much more. You, Ella, Ethan, Riley and Lucas, you're the reason I live, my whole world. I would be so lost without you and I'm so happy to have you in my life." Lora glanced at Ryan, her eyes glistening with tears. She smiled and replied, "I don't regret giving you a second chance. Thank you for showeringwith so much love, for showingwhat true happiness feels like. My heart is so full love you, Mr Kingsley. So, so much."

Ryan leaned in, his breath fanning Lora's face as he remarked, "I promise to cherish you, to give you the love you deserve and to protect E you. I will cherish every moment with you until I take my last breath. You, Mrs Kingsley, will forever be the woman who makes my heart beat."
