Chapter 161~ Goodbye [Ryan returns after his brother, Jason Kingsley, donates Stem cells to save his life.] [A brother's sacrifice: Ryan and Jason Kingsley's feud ends as Jason becomes his brother's stem cell donor.] The intewas buzzing with headlines about Ryan's recovery.
Jason saw the news and called Ryan, saying, "Hey, bro, I don't know who leaked the news. It had been kept under wraps all this while-" "It was me," Ryan responded on the phone. He seemed to be in a good mood as he stepped into the glass-walled headquarters of the Kingsley Group. "What? Why?" Jason asked, feeling confused.
"Because people were trolling you online. I wanted them to know how selfless you are," Ryan replied as he walked to the elevator with an air of confidence.
The staff smiled at him and he waved at them since he couldn't talk because of the call.
As he entered the elevator, he pressed the last floor and added, "I don't want people to think we are still enemies. I want you to have a clean slate... so that you won't have any problems working in the company." "We discussed this already. I don't want to work in the Kingsley Group. That would be giving my mother what she wants," Jason replied. "Besides, I'll be going back abroad soon." Ryan sighed. He shoved one hand into his pocket and said, "You think about it... just know that the company is open whenever you would like to join us." "I'll keep that in mind," Jason responded.

The breaking news was about Ryan Kingsley and how he survived and got discharged from the hospital.
Ivy's hand clenched around the fork, her eyes turning cold as she glared at the man on the screen.
She suddenly screamed and pushed her plate away, making it drop to the ground, and scattering the food. "How could he survive? He was supposed to die! Now he's going to be with that bitch, Lora! How could they be happy when they ruined my life?" Ivy kept screaming and pulling at her hair, her eyes bloodshot from sleepless nights.
"No... Ryan should die! He must die! Only then will this be fair! No! How could he be alive?! The news must be a lie!" She yelled hysterically and her inmates watched her make a scene.
A prison warden cforward and warned, "Ivy Williams, behave yourself or I'll have to make you behave." However, it was like Ivy had gone crazy. She kept shoving people, grabbing the plates and throwing them to the ground.
"I won't rest until he's dead! I'll destroy Lora and Ryan! I'll make them rot in hell! AH!" Ivy was tasered by the prison warden and she fell to the ground, losing consciousness.
In the corner, Celine, Ivy's mother, watched this scene with a sad look on her face. She had tried everything to help her daughter, however, it seemed Ivy's obsession with Lora and Ryan was slowly making her lose her mind. At the stime, Celeste sat on her bed in her cell, glaring at the small television on the wall.
Her eyes turned cold and anger flared through her. How could Jason donate his stem cells to save Ryan's life? "Jason Kingsley and Ryan Kingsley have reportedly reconciled and their brotherly bond has grown stronger..." Celeste's fingers curled into fists, her nails digging into her palms.
"Foolish boy," she muttered to herself. "Ryan's death would have made him a king. He had everything within his grasp and he threw it away." Looking at the news, Celeste's spirit wasn't at peace. She couldn't just sit and do nothing while Ryan took everything.
A thought occurred to her and a small smile crossed her lips. Suddenly, she doubled over, clutching her stomach before crying out, "Ouch! Help! Please.... I'm in so much pain!" Later that day, Jason received a call.
"Mr Kingsley, your mother fell sick earlier today. She's been admitted to the prison infirmary and is requesting to see you." Jason frowned. His heart dropped and he asked anxiously, "What's wrong with her?" "She suddenly complained of stomach pains. They seem serious," the caller said.
A pang of guilt coursed through Jason. Despite everything Celeste had done, she was still his mother and he hadn't gone to visit her since she got arrested.

However, he should have visited his mother.
"I'll be there shortly," Jason replied and left for the correctional facility.
When he arrived at the facility, Jason was led to the infirmary where he found Celeste lying on the bed. She looked up when she heard him, her eyes lighting up with relief. "Jason, my son," Celeste remarked. "You came." "Of course, I had to come. I heard you were sick," Jason responded flatly.
Celeste sat up and looked at Jason, saying, "I've missed you so much, my son." Jason frowned as he studied Celeste. He questioned, "Were you really sick or you feigned illness to lurehere?" Celeste's expression suddenly darkened. She snapped, "That's the only way I could see you. Ryan was
on his deathbed, what is this I'm hearing that you donated your stem cells to save him? him? Are you crazy?n Everything could have been yours! The company, the wealth, the fame... it could have been all yours but you chose to throw it away for him!" Jason's jaw clenched. He scoffed and thought, 'Why did I think Mom could change?' He realised she was too far gone. All she cared about was money and power... not even being in jail could make her realise that she was wrong.
"I didn't cto talk about Ryan, mother. Since you're ok, I'm leaving-" "How could you be such a huge disappointment? I had such high hopes for you but you ruined my dreams with your own hands." Celeste remarked. "You're such a failure-" "Enough, Mother!" Jason snapped, his eyes flitting with frustration. "I chere hoping you had changed even a little bit. How could you still be the same?" "Jason, how can you betrayafter all I did to raise you?" Celeste asked. "How can you be so ungrateful??"
"You raisedwith so much hate for my family and I almost let you turninto someone done he I'm not. But I'm done, mather. I'm done with your schemes, your evil plots, your gas-lighting and your greed," Jason hissed. "Jason-" "No, mom. I don't want to hear anything more from you... it's clear, nothing you say is good foror my mental health," Jason remarked, his eyes blurring with tears as disappointment crept into him.
"I hope you think about the mess you've made of your life and change for the better. As for me, I've chosenmy path. I'll slowly build a relationship with the rest of my family... The family you tried so hard to tear apart." "Jason, what did they do to you? Helpget out of here, they are poisoning you against me-" "No," Jason said firmly. "You're going to stay here and think about the mess you've made of your life. As for me, I've chosen my path. I'm building a relationship with met brother and the rest of the family... the family you tried so hard to tear apart." Turning to leave, Jason added, "Goodbye, Mother. I hope you reflect on your life and change one day."
