Chapter 202
How many times did she have explained over the phone, why couldn’t they get it through their heads?
Catlin’s breathing was unsteady. “You... You...”
‘Fine. She had given the sreason over the phone, and she was sticking to it now. That was it, right?‘
Fuming, Catlin clenched her fists.
Stephanie had no interest in wasting another second on this.
She was about to walk past them when Olivia suddenly stepped in her way. “Stefi, what did you tell the
Ashfords? Why are they doing this to me?”
Stephanie rolled her eyes.
Elliot narrowed his eyes.
At Olivia's words, Catlin immediately turned to Stephanie with a sharp glare. “Yeah, what exactly did you say to
them? Why would they send all these people here?”
The men surrounding Olivia were clearly there to keep an eye on her.
Stephanie took a glance at them, then shifted her gaze back to Olivia.
“Do you really think that highly of yourself?”
‘What had she told the Ashford family?‘
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtStephanie scoffed. “Do you honestly believe that just because you've always clung to Chris and the Ashfords, I'd
care about them too?”
“You...” Olivia's breath hitched.
Meeting Stephanie's eyes, she clenched her teeth. “If it wasn’t you, then who else could it be?”
Catlin fumed as she listened.
Sure, the Ashfords had already taken issue with Olivia before, but now it was clear these people had been sent
by Fred himself.
Fred rarely involved himself in matters concerning the younger generation.
If he had stepped in now, it was only because Stephanie had taken things straight to him-enough to make him
furious.
And to make things worse, she’d made their fallout public across all of Long Harbor. The mere thought made
Catlin’s chest tighten.
She stared at Stephanie, “What did you tell the Ashfords? Are you still hung up on Chris?”
Stephanie rolled her eyes.
Elliot was speechless.
Everyone else was, too.
Especially Elliot-he looked at Catlin and Olivia like they were out of their minds.
‘Stephanie thinking about Chris Ashford?”
‘How did these people even cup with this nonsense?’
Olivia stepped forward, tugging at Stephanie's sleeve. “Stefi, | know you're mad atfor coming back and
ruining things between you and Chris, but you-"
“Let go!”
Before Olivia could finish, Stephanie yanked her arm away, disgust flashing across her face.
?
She stared at the spot Olivia had touched like it was tainted.
Thrown off balance, Olivia stumbled and fell hard, letting out a sharp cry of pain.
Catlin gasped, her voice breaking. “Ah-!"
Panicked, she rushed to check on Olivia.
The doctor had warned them, Olivia had to be extra careful right now.
“Olivia? Olivia!”
Catlin rushed to help her daughter, but Olivia was deathly pale.
“Mom, don’t blStefi. This is all my fault... | wronged her,” she whispered weakly.
Stephanie rolled her
eyes.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmElliot blinked in surprise. It was obvious. Sebastian was letting Stephanie handle things in her own way, and his
overprotectiveness hadn’t changed in the slightest.
‘What kind of performance was this?"
Stephanie couldn’t quite wrap her head around Olivia's act.
Was she trying to show she cared about Chris? Or maybe the Hart family?
But seriously, hadn't she already burned every bridge-both with Chris and her own family?
Selling this whole act like she was sinnocent victim? Please.
Stephanie crossed her arms. “If you don’t wantto slap you, you'd better drop the performance.”
Catlin’s face twisted with anger as she looked at Olivia, pale and shaken on the ground. She turned to Stephanie,
fury in her eyes. “Get out! Get out of Long Harbor!”
