Chapter 0657
The most immediate and effective antidote to Scarlet Veil was... intimacy between a man and a woman. Was this
a deliberate test to see if she would help Dylan?
Ha...
Suzy already had a pretty good idea who might be behind this.
Elliot Hayes.
Other than him, she couldn't think of anyone else. Without hesitation, Suzy called him. "Where's the antidote?"
"What antidote?" Elliot sounded genuinely confused. What's going on, Mentor?" "Don't play dumb!" Suzy's tone
was sharp with frustration. "Elliot, have | been too lenient with you lately? Is that why you've becso
reckless?"
"Mentor, | really don't understand what you're talking about. What happened?" His voice was filled with urgency.
"Where are you right now? I'll cfind you."
"You didn't poison Dylan?" Suzy asked directly.
"Dylan's been poisoned? When?"
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtFrom the tone of his voice, Elliot didn't sound like he was lying. Could she have been mistaken?
But if it wasn't him, then who could it be?
Very few people even knew about Scarlet Veil, and Elliot was one of them. When Suzy had been working on its
development, Elliot was still part of her team and had been involved in the project.
She pressed him again. "It really wasn't you?"
"I don't like him, but | wouldn't stoop to something so underhanded," Elliot replied, his voice tinged with
irritation. "Mentor, | can't believe you'd think I'd do such a thing."
"Dylan was poisoned with Scarlet Veil. Not many people know about it, and you and he don't exactly get along."
"So you just assit was me?" Elliot's tone grew colder. "Is that how you see me?"
Suzy was about to respond when Elliot abruptly ended the call.
Suzy stared at the disconnected call and let out a dry chuckle. "Alright, if you didn't do it, you didn't. No need to
overreact."
If Elliot wasn't behind this, Suzy truly couldn't think of anyone else.
She had hoped to obtain the antidote quickly, but now it seemed finding a woman for Dylan might actually be
the faster solution.

Chapter D657
Dylan had a long, vivid dream. In the dream, he and Suzy were together...
It was an exceptionally beautiful dream.
However, when he woke up, nothing had happened. He was still in the hospital room, alone, with not sign of Suzy
anywhere.
As the doctor cin to check on him, Dylan asked, "Where's my wife?"
The doctor looked puzzled. "Your wife?"
"The young woman who cby last night," Dylan clarified, his impatience starting to show. Did they not see
the resemblance between him and Suzy as a couple?
"Oh, you mean that lady..."
"She's not just a lady. She's my wife!" Dylan snapped Even though they were divorced, in his heart, Suzy would
always be his wife.
The doctor quickly corrected himself. "Apologies, sir. Your wife left after you fell asleep."
So it had all been a dream—nothing had happened between him and Suzy after all.
Of course. She hadn't forgiven him yet, so why would she have stayed, let alone done anything like that?
Looking at his arm, he noticed the rashes had completely subsided. It was clear that the medicine Suzy had
given him had worked.
Since he was fine now, there was no point in staying at the hospital. Dylan called Desmond and asked him to

When Suzy returned home, she went straight to bed, utterly exhausted. She was woken up later by the sound of
Timothy's voice outside.
Throwing off the covers, she got out of bed. Her legs nearly gave out beneath her, and she had to grab the side
of the bed to steady herself.
Cursing under her breath, she managed to regain her balance and made her way toward the door.
Timothy's voice continued, loud and agitated. The door muffled the sound, so Suzy couldn't make out what he
was saying until she opened it.
Finally, the words becclear.
