Chapter 491 A Gamma's Revenge Chapter 491 Diego's p.o.v.

I never thought I would go on an assignment with my Daughter, but two nights ago I accompanied her to one of our targets.

It didn't go as we had planned, but it all turned out for the best and we may even get an alliance out of it. We reported what we had found in those mountains and I for one was breathing a little easier, knowing there are still those that will fight for the weak.

I have to admit that I was a little disappointed though, I didn't get to see my little girl at work and it was something I had been looking forward to.

I think Maleah noticed that I was a bit disappointed, because she askedon the drive hto pick out the next target. There was one more Elder and one more Alpha on the list, after taking a look at both their files, I chose the last Elder on our list.

Elder Samuel will be our next target and Maleah just linkedthat we will be taking him down tonight.

One of her scouts reported that he was going to a little cottage he owns in the middle of nowhere and that he would be gone for at least four days, so it will take stfor someone to start missing him.

Like last time, our drive is mostly spend in silence. Timber's bond with Fortune has becstrong and it makes it easier to feel where my Daughter is during the day or how she is feeling.

I never took the tto find out what I inherited from my parents, but after working side by side with Maleah I wish I had. There are so many different ways to take out a target and every potion is almost undetectable, unless you know what you are looking for.

I followed Maleah's example and started reading the journals from our ancestors, reading about their mistakes and victories.

We made the Dravyrith together, a potion that will take a few hours to kill the victim and we will wait until Elder Samuel has taken his last breath. Maleah wants to know how long it will take for her target to die and how easy it will be to use it more often.

I agree with her, this potion will be a good punishment for those that have committed horrible crimes. Dravyrith is made of Dussala and Ecender, both items are very common and are harmless on their own.

Dussala is a spice that you can find in almost every kitchen and Ecender grows all around us, but mixed in the right amounts it can be deadly. I had looked at Maleah in surprise, when she placed the Ecender in front ofto cut it.

She had poured Iquna in a pan and as she started warming the liquid, she added the Dussala. Stirring it slowly and then she started adding the Ecender I was cutting, lowering the heat beneath the pan because it needs to be heated, not boiled.

Once all the ingredients were mixed, she took it off the heat and stirred it for a few more seconds. Than it was a waiting gfor the mixture to cool down, I am glad I got a chance to experience this with my Daughter and I am damn proud of her. "Where did you go, Dad?" Maleah asks and I notice that we are no longer moving. "We are at our destination, he arrived an hour ago and hasn't left." We slowly get out of the SUV and start our walk through the forest, it will take us about fifteen minutes to get to the cottage.

If I wasn't on assignment, I might have enjoyed our surroundings, but right now this forest givesthe creeps. It is eerily quiet, the nearest Pack is at least a half hour away and that gives Elder Samual all the privacy he needs.

We make our way to the back door of the cottage and like I was instructed I stay close to my Daughter, slowly making our way into the cottage. Elder Samuel is in the living room, typing away on his laptop, no eye for his surroundings.

I take the syringe from Maleah's hand and push the needle into his neck, quickly emptying the contents into his bloodstream. His laptop falls to the floor, as he jumps up to face us and I see him looking betweenand Maleah.

Before he can say a word he grabs his head and screams in agony, sounds like the potion is doing what it is supposed to do.

Elder Samuel falls to his knees, his hands still on his head and he keeps screaming on the top of his lungs. How his body is able to make him feel what his victims went through, is a mystery forbut it serves him right.

"I am your Judge, Jury and Executioner. You will never hurt an innocent again." Maleah says and I see the confusion in Elder Samuel's eyes, but the pain is to severe for him to ask any questions.

It takes almost two hours for his Wolf to lose it and then his screams beceven more horrifying. Maleah and I had both been curious what itwould look like if a Wolf' wanted out of his Human without shifting and it wasn't anything like I had expected.

I was expecting his bones to break without his Wolf being able to get out, but this is so much worse. Not oply are his bones breaking, there is also blood pouring from everywhere along his body and it takes over an hour before he takes his last breath. Neither one of us speaks when we leave the cottage and I am glad that Maleah is my Daughter. If she had been my enemy, I would be looking for the best place to hide and pray that she would never find me.

I have seen a lot in all my years as

an Assassin, but tonight must have been the most brutal thing ever. Most Assassin's take their target out in a more public setting, making sure that no one can see them and clearing out before anyone has recovered from the shock.

Maleah is a different story; she takes her targets out in secrecy, she wants them

to suffer and then she makes sure that they get discovered by someone that won't try to hide the truth. Yeah, her targets will always be looking over their shoulders and still they won't see her coming.
