Chapter 489 Chapter 489 Levi's p.o.v.

I am a nervous wreck, no one knows why Elder Jorge is here and he refuses to discuss it until we were all present.

I doubt anyone would want our Alphas on the Throne, even though it would mean justice for a lot more Wolves and Lycans. It would be funny to see how that would develop, probably with a lot of blood.

On our way to the Pack-house we pass a few Pack-members, that wonder why the Elders are visiting us. I hear quite a few theories, but I don't know if any of them are anywhere near the truth.

Without hesitation Maleah walks into the Alpha office, "Elder Jorge, to what do we owe this pleasure." She says as she sits down on Kay's lap and I quickly sit down next to her.

"Uhm. I just asked for your entire leadership to be present. I don't think a designer has any business here." The unknown male says as he looks at Dominic. The guy is an arrogant fool and he is going to regret talking about Maleah like that.

"I don't know who you are, but you are within the borders of my Pack. I don't owe you an explanation and if you don't like it you can leave." Dax responds and for a moment I think he is going to talk back, but it seems that he has a brain.

"My nis Rudolph and I am Elder Jorge's assistant. I hope to becan Elder soon." He answers, but it doesn't answer the question why he thought he could talk to Dominic like that.

"Before we go any further with this conversation, I am going to make something clear. You will addressas Alpha and the sgoes for my Brothers. As for Maleah, she has every right to be here. She is our Beta female, Gamma female and Head Assassin female.

As my Brother already said, if you have a problem with that you can leave." Dominic says, just before he buries his nose in Delaney's hair. No doubt to inhale her scent and calm himself and his Lycan down.

Rudolph and Elder Jorge are squirming a bit in their seat and we are just waiting for them to tell us why they are here.

Elder Jorge hands Dillon a file and for a moment he doesn't say anything. "As you might know Elder Carlyle died from whatever poisoned him and with his taped confession we ran a DNA test, she was indeed his Daughter." I am not too sure where he is going with this, but the look on Dillon's face tellsthat the file doesn't hold the DNA results.

"Our Doctors believe that both of them were poisoned, but they can't find a trace of it in their blood stream. They believe it is the work of the Angel of Death and the Elders want you to find him." Elder Jorge says as he leans back in his seat.

It is deadly quiet in the office, all you can hear is our breathing and I am glad we are holding on to Maleah. Not a word is said, not even through the mind-link and I am letting their request run through my mind.

"Elder Jorge, why do the Elders want us to find the Angel of Death?" Delaney asks and I can facepalm myself for not thinking of that question. The Elders have always done anything to pin a murder on us, they wanted Blood Crescent Pack to stop existing.

"Delaney, I think that even you can answer your own question." Maleah says teasingly. "If we go after the Angel of Death, the Elders hope that he will take us out and if we manage to expose him in the meantime, the Elders will get rid of him.

It's no secret that the Elders want to get the Angel of Death out of the way, after all he has been serving justice a hell of a lot better than the Elders and I doubt I have to explain why they want to get rid of us." Maleah says and I know that she is right.

"The Angel of Death doesn't serve justice, he is a cold blooded killer." Rudolph growls in her direction.

"Oh, I'm sorry thought that every victim of the Angel of Death, had faced the Elders at least once and even though there was a huge amount of evidence, each tthey got away with their crimes. Sounds tothat the Angel of Death did serve justice." Maleah replies.

Rudolph is about to say something, but one look from Elder Jorge makes him bite his tongue.

"Did I get to close to the truth, Elder Jorge?" Maleah asks him and everyone can see the smug look on her face, she is really enjoying this.

"I am curious by nature and I took a look at each victim, you claimed was a victim of the Angel of Death. Each of them had been brought in front of you for crimes they had committed, but each tthe charges were dropped by the Elders. Sounds tothat it should be the Angel of Justice." Maleah says, not waiting for him to answer her question.

"I don't know what my Alphas want to do with your request, but I would advise them to toss the file in a fire It isn't worth the risk, they have just found their true Mate-bond and they have Pack to take in to consideration. Going after the Angel of Death, doesn't seem worth losing everything over." Maleah continues.

Delaney gets up with the file from Elder Jorge in her hand and walks, to the fireplace on the other side of the place on room. She doesn't look at anyone as she lets the file slip from her hand, straight into the fire. "Is that answer enough, Elder Jorge?" She asks as she turns her back on the burning file and I feel like getting up to applaud her.

Elder Jorge and Rudolph leave without another word and I would like to know why the Elders are suddenly this interested in taking out the Angel of Death.

"The assignment was dead or alive, but preferably dead." Delaney says.
