Chapter 400
Soon, Stephanie served the seafood dishes on the table.
It looked pretty good.
After all, they were in the wilderness, she could only cook with the few seasonings William had brought. Creating
a fancy meal was out of the question.
It was already good enough that they had something to eat.
Stephanie stood humbly beside the table and smiled. ‘This is my first tcooking. Please givesome
feedback if there's anything | didn’t do well, and I'll make sure to improve next time.”
Dakota quickly praised her, “Stephanie, your cooking is great. It smells wonderful.”
Stephanie lowered her head while smiling. “Thank you, Dakota. Let's eat before it gets cold and doesn’t taste as
good.”
As Milly was about to reach for sfood, William stopped her abruptly. “Wait!”
“Huh? What's wrong?”
William, who usually had a laid-back behaviour, stared intently at Stephanie with suspicion. He let go of Milly
only after seeing Stephanie take a bite. “Alright, you can eat now.”
Milly was at a loss for words.

So he was worried that Stephanie might poison us!
Milly knew that they didn’t have to be worried since this was a live broadcast. If Stephanie dared to poison
anyone on the show, she could be charged with attempted poisoning and end up in jail. She was too cautious to
make such a basic mistake.
Moreover, Stephanie hadn't even brought cold medicine to the island. How could she have brought poison? Even
if she tried to make it herself, she wouldn't know how.
In short, she could only pull sschbehind the scenes. She wouldn't dare to do anything openly; she
didn’t have the guts!
‘Hmm, looking at it this way, Stephanie doesn’t seem so bad. She even volunteered to cook!
“Yeah, a girl who volunteers to help can’t be that bad!
‘Maybe people have been too biased against her and small matters were blown out of proportion, but she hasn't
really done anything wrong. The viewers were too harsh.
‘Hmm, cooking one meal makes everything okay? Her PR team didn’t even have to do anything?’
‘Haha, what detergent is she using to clean her reputation so quickly? Who found the seafood? Who cleaned it?
No one talks about the person who found the seafood and the one who cleaned it. She gets all the praise
because she cooked once?’
‘Exactly, she can’t be trusted!”
‘I don’t care. If my idol dislikes her, then | dislike her too. I just don’t like her!”
The people were arguing in the comments, but no one among them was aware of it.
As everyone was finishing their meal, there was a loud “bang” from their accommodation, followed by a
panicked voice. “Cough, cough, my manuscripts! Where's my manuscript? Cough, cough...”
It was Matthew!
Everyone rushed inside and found the previously feverish and half-dead Matthew now squatting on the floor,
frantically searching his pockets and rummaging through his suitcase.
He was anxiously mumbling, “My manuscript? Where is it?”
Stephanie reacted first, hurrying over to help him up. ‘Matthew, you're still running a fever. You need to rest!”
Matthew, who usually doted on her, pushed her away as he kept rummaging through his suitcase. ‘No, | have to
find my manuscripts. Cough, cough... I had it on me. How could it be gone?”
Stephanie was not offended by him. She stood up and asked anxiously, “Manuscript? What manuscript?”
Matthew, looking frantic and worried, kept running his fingers through his hair. ‘My manuscript! | worked so hard
for it! Cough, cough... There's a competition in a few days. | had it on me. How could it be gone?”
Hearing this, everyone understood. Matthew's manuscript was missing!
Everyone knew Matthew was a renowned designer with numerous awards. His designs were sold for high prices,
so his manuscript must be very important.
No wonder he was so anxious.

Stephanie gasped and covered her mouth in shock. “Your manuscript is missing? It's really important! You're
going to join an international design competition with it. How could it be gone? | remember you had it before we
chere!”
Dakota chimed in, “If it's that important, let's help him find it. If he had it when he came, it must be around.”
“Sure.”
With that, everyone started looking for the manuscript.
Only Milly sneered. She crossed her arms and walked out of the bamboo house, clearly uninterested in helping.
William, who already disliked Stephanie and Matthew, followed Milly outside.
“Boss, should we help them?” He whispered, thinking maybe they should help since Matthew was Milly’s brother
and Milly should show their sibling bond.
Milly glanced at the noisy bamboo house and sneered. “No need. You won't find it.”
William was puzzled. “Huh?”
Milly smirked. She knew Stephanie was up to something when she volunteered to cook and her hunch was
correct.
As expected, Matthew soon stormed out with bloodshot eyes. He glared at Milly with hatred. “Where's my
manuscript?’
Milly looked at him calmly and replied, “I don’t know.”
“Is that so? | know you took it! Give it back!” Matthew shouted through gritted teeth. He was ready to pounce on
Milly anytime.
